OPAN Summit
The OpenPages African Network
OpenPages will hold its first annual OpenPages African Network (OPAN) Summit in Sandton (Johannesburg), South Africa on 2 December 2009. Hosted by FirstRand Banking Group, OPAN Summit will bring together members of the OpenPages’ South African customer community, including the region’s banking industry leaders. The OPAN Summit provides the chance to share experiences, discuss topics on risk and compliance, hear from OpenPages customers, and get insights from OpenPages executives into the region’s changing risk management landscape.
- Vasie Naicker, Head of Shared Services, FirstRand Banking Group“As one of South Africa’s leading financial institutions, FirstRand recognises that effective risk management and governance is essential to the generation of sustainable profits, to safeguard its reputation, comply with regulations, create a competitive edge and achieve an optimal risk reward profile. The OpenPages platform has assisted FirstRand in achieving regulatory requirements specifically for Operational Risk as well as other ongoing risk management goals. We look forward to sharing some of our risk management practices as well as our discussion on our current risk management environment with leading companies in our region.”
- David Gray, Vice President, EMEA, OpenPages“The first annual OPAN Summit will provide our customers across the South African region with an opportunity to share business challenges and risk management best practices unique to the region. I look forward to hearing our customers’ perspectives on the market and sharing OpenPages’ insight into risk management drivers for the coming year.”
