GRC Thought Leaders to Gather for Second Annual OpenPages Executive ERM Forum

May 29, 2008

Practitioners and Experts to Discuss Emerging Trends and Best Practices Critical to Risk Management Functions

Waltham, Mass – May 29, 2008 – OpenPages®, the leading provider of enterprise GRC solutions, will host the second-annual Executive ERM Forum today – a meeting of Chief Risk Officers, senior risk and compliance executives and industry thought leaders who will discuss the latest trends and best practices in risk management and the changing regulatory landscape. The event – held at The Liberty Hotel, Boston, Mass. – will be attended by executives from GMAC, T-Mobile, Carnival Corporation & plc, several large US banking customers and others.

This year, the Executive ERM Forum will be moderated by Rick Steinberg, founder and principal of Steinberg Governance Advisors, Compliance Week columnist and OpenPages Board of Advisors member. Topics for discussion will include how the risk management function is changing as a result of the recent market turmoil, best practices for building a business case for enterprise risk management (ERM), and how risk practitioners can provide more effective guidance and visibility to executive boards. The event will provide an opportunity for senior executives in the risk management function to share their real-world experiences and to discuss unique methods to enhance the effectiveness of risk management activities across the enterprise.

"Last year’s Executive ERM Forum was our inaugural event – bringing together an impressive group of our customers who are clear thought leaders in the industry," said Michael J. Duffy, president and CEO, OpenPages. "The event was extremely well-received by attendees, as they were able to participate in a truly useful exchange of best practices, sharing new ideas for embracing risk across the enterprise. Given how dramatically the risk management landscape has evolved in the past year—particularly in the aftermath of the credit crisis—I am confident that this year’s forum will be equally successful as an avenue to discuss ERM best practices in light of the significant economic challenges that we’re currently experiencing as a nation."

After a full day of sharing of ideas, best practices and case studies, forum participants will have the opportunity to further network with Executive ERM Forum attendees, as OpenPages will host a dinner at XV Beacon with an historic restaurant built on the foundation of a 1722 mansion. The locale will provide a unique and impressive dining and networking experience for Executive ERM Forum attendees.
