Patrick O’Brien is a Director at OpenPages and leads the product development process for the company’s line of Governance, Risk and Compliance Management (GRCM) solutions. Prior to OpenPages, Patrick was Vice President of Corporate Strategy at IONA. Before that he was Director of Java Products at Object Design and earlier spent more than ten years as an engineering manager in Digital Equipment Corporation’s Database Division. Patrick is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and has published several articles on Risk Management and Compliance. He was an Executive Committee member of the Java Community Process (JCP) and has served on the OMG Board of Directors.
Patrick has a degree in mathematics from Carleton University, a masters in computer science from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Boston University.
