Hawaiian Airlines Selects OpenPages SOX Express for Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance

July 5, 2005

Waltham, Mass. - July 5, 2005 - OpenPages, the leading provider of enterprise governance, risk and compliance management (GRCM) solutions, today announced that Hawaiian Airlines (AMEX and PCX: HA) has selected OpenPages Sarbanes-Oxley Express (SOX Express) for its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance initiatives. Hawaiian Airlines will deploy SOX Express to automate the company’s ongoing test and review of its internal controls documentation in order to reduce the time and resource costs associated with Section 404 and 302 compliance.

Hawaiian Airlines, the nation's number one on-time carrier, is recognized as one of the best airlines in America. Readers of two prominent national travel magazines, Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure, have both rated Hawaiian as the top domestic airline serving Hawaii in their most recent rankings, and the fifth best domestic airline overall. Celebrating its 75th year of continuous service, Hawaiian is Hawaii's biggest and longest-serving airline, and the second largest provider of passenger air service between Hawaii and the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian offers nonstop service to Hawaii from more U.S. gateway cities than any other airline. Hawaiian also provides approximately 100 daily jet flights among the Hawaiian Islands, as well as service to Australia, American Samoa and Tahiti.

“With its strong reporting capabilities and web-based interface, we feel that OpenPages SOX Express offers the most complete, easiest to use and easy to deploy solution for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance,” said Paul Kobayashi, vice president and controller at Hawaiian Airlines. “The OpenPages SOX Express solution is an integral part of our long-term strategy to manage our future cost of compliance.”

OpenPages SOX Express is an enterprise compliance management solution that reduces the time and resource costs associated with ongoing compliance for Sections 302 and 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. SOX Express combines powerful document management, business process management and flexible reporting capabilities in an extremely easy-to-use environment that enables an organization to document financial controls and automate the ongoing test and review process. Completely web-based, SOX Express maximizes end-user participation with little training. Its dashboards can be used by project managers, documentation team members, internal auditors and external auditors to plan, document and test the internal controls framework of the company, and to attest to the financial statements.
